Founded in 2006, Tonin & Co. LLP is based in Guelph, Ontario and primarily services clients across southwestern Ontario, with a growing client base internationally.

Working with local business owners and not-for-profit organizations to meet their comprehensive accounting needs is our passion. Our team of Chartered Professional Accountants (CPAs) are committed to being available and responsive to our clients at all times. Simply put, our clients’ best interests are our number one priority. Our Team

PETER M. TONIN, BBA, CPA, CA

Partner

Peter is a general practice partner at Tonin & Co. and has over thirty years of experience as a CPA and business advisor. Peter has amassed a wealth of experience as a trusted advisor to clients ranging across all industries. He is heavily relied upon for his expertise and creative thinking to help clients run their organizations, grow their businesses, and manage their finances.

A graduate of Wilfrid Laurier University, Peter has spent his public accounting career focusing on business growth and profitability, business acquisitions and sales, financing, and tax planning. He has been a Board of Directors member and Treasurer of numerous not-for-profit and charitable organizations throughout his career.

When Peter isn’t in the office, he enjoys spending time at his cottage in Southampton with his family, in addition to staying active by golfing, skiing and running. He is also a mentor to his daughter who is in the process of completing the CPA program.

PAT BROOKER, BBA, CPA, CA

Partner

Pat is a general practice partner at Tonin & Co. and has over twenty years of experience in accounting for businesses, municipalities and not-for-profit organizations. Pat leads our team of auditors and ensures we are consistently up to date with the ever-changing accounting and assurance standards. He is a File Quality Control partner for our larger clients.

Pat graduated from Wilfrid Laurier University. In addition to his time in public practice, Pat has worked in the private sector, which enables him to offer practical business consulting advice. He also enjoys working with small business owner-managers.

Pat spends most of his time out of the office with his wife and three sons, and enjoys exercise, and coaching hockey and football in his spare time.

TIM LOPINSKI, BBA, CPA, CA

Partner

Tim is a general practice partner at Tonin & Co. and is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the firm, with a focus on taxation. Tim strives to learn the unique features of each organization to build long lasting relationships while providing practical advice to clients across a wide range of industries in both the business and not-for-profit sectors. Tim grew up in an entrepreneurial household, where from a young age, he learned the ropes doing invoicing, payroll and bookkeeping for his father’s contracting business. Tim has since carried this passion for business and accounting into his career as a CPA.

Tim graduated from Wilfrid Laurier University and has completed the CPA Canada In-Depth Taxation Course. He is responsible for ensuring the latest changes in the world of taxation are considered for all Tonin & Co’s clients.

During his spare time, Tim enjoys travelling, cooking, attending concerts and spending time with his wife Stephanie and their family. He can also be found on the ice playing hockey, or at the gym participating in group fitness “boot camp” style workouts.

GREG KLOEPFER, CPA, CA

Manager

Greg enjoys working with clients across a broad spectrum of industries, including real estate and construction, professional services, manufacturing, automotive, charitable and not-for-profit organizations.

Greg graduated from Wilfrid Laurier University and completed his Diploma in Accounting there. He is currently Treasurer for the Guelph Minor Hockey Association.

Greg is newly engaged to his fiancée Andge and looking forward to his upcoming nuptials. As a sports fan, in his spare time Greg enjoys playing soccer and working on his golf game.

JOANNE PUCCHIO, BBA, CPA, CA

Manager

Joanne is a former partner of Tonin & Co. and has over thirty years of experience in accounting in both the public and private sectors.

A graduate of Wilfrid Laurier University, she specializes in accounting for not-for-profit organizations, charities, and owner-managed businesses including sole proprietorships and small corporations. Joanne also has significant experience in estate planning for individuals, including terminal returns and trust taxation.

Out of the office, Joanne enjoys spending time with her family, and loves to travel and cook.

 

NANCY BROOKER, CPA, CA

Manager

Nancy joined the firm in October of 2019.  She comes to us with almost 30 years of experience in both the public and private sectors.

Nancy is also a certified Master Life Coach specializing in relationships and working with women.

In her spare time, she loves spending time with her husband Pat (yes that’s him at the top of the page), their three boys, family and friends.  She is a lifelong learner and enjoys being active and healthy.

ASHLEY BEAM, BBA

Accountant

Ashley graduated from Conestoga College and has been with Tonin & Co. since she was a co-op student. She enjoys the team environment in the office and continues to develop her skills by working on a variety of projects.

In her free time, Ashley loves to spend time with her boyfriend, Dan and their three cats. She also enjoys learning about cars and taking road trips.

JACQUELINE BEDARD, B.COMM

Accountant

Jacqueline joined the Tonin & Co. team after graduating from the University of Guelph, and has since rapidly developed her knowledge and skills by working on a wide array of client files spanning numerous industries.

She enjoys going to the beach in Goderich while visiting her family and playing soccer in her spare time.

 

TONY HUYNH, BBA

Accountant

Tony enjoys developing his accounting and taxation knowledge by working collaboratively with colleagues in a learning-friendly environment.

Outside of the office, Tony can be found on the soccer pitch or spending time with his girlfriend Rebecca and their dog, Bear.

 

LORIE FORD

Executive Assistant

Lorie is one of the key ingredients to the day-to-day success of Tonin & Co. She is always the friendly face greeting clients at the door, answering the phones, and performing a countless variety of tasks that keep things running smoothly.

She enjoys spending time at her summer home on Belwood Lake with her husband, Anthony, her daughters Amy and Amanda, and her grandchildren, Colton and Layla.

JOE DIPEDE

Office Manager

Joe is the Office Manager at Tonin & Co. and has been with the team for over twenty years. He has witnessed the growth of the firm and enjoys working with our people and keeping everyone on track.

When they aren’t busy babysitting their grandchildren, Joe and his wife Florie will often escape to their condo in Florida for a vacation.
